The Flutter Monetization Gap

Flutter powers over a million published apps, but most monetization platforms still treat it as a second-class citizen — offering web wrappers or JS bridges instead of native SDKs. That gap costs you performance, stability, and revenue. Here is the honest 2026 landscape.

Option 1: Google AdMob via Firebase

The default choice for most Flutter teams. Solid coverage for banners, interstitials, and rewarded video through the official Google Mobile Ads Flutter plugin. The limitation: it is ads-only. No offerwall, no CPA campaigns, no deep-reward layer — and your effective revenue is capped by ad CPMs and your impression volume.

Option 2: Unity LevelPlay (ironSource)

LevelPlay’s Flutter support runs through its mediation SDK and works well for teams already committed to the ironSource ecosystem. Expect a heavier integration footprint and a UI that leans toward larger studios. If you are not already using LevelPlay elsewhere, the setup cost is rarely justified for a single Flutter title.

Option 3: AppLovin MAX

MAX provides a Flutter bridge via third-party adapters. It is the strongest mediation option if your primary goal is maximizing in-app bidding yield across many ad networks. Like AdMob, it stops at ads: MAX does not give you an offerwall or CPI/CPA reward inventory.

Option 4: Perkox — Native Flutter Offerwall SDK

Perkox ships a native Flutter offerwall SDK, not a bridge: direct Dart API, no platform-channel latency, and full support for Android and iOS from the same code path. Integration is a dependency add plus a few lines of Dart — then the offerwall runs inside your app with your currency as the reward layer.

Why that matters: Perkox adds the monetization layer the ad SDKs above can’t — CPI/CPA offers that pay per completed action, monetizing non-payers at effective eCPMs far above video. It is complementary to AdMob/MAX, not a replacement: run ads for session-level rewards and the offerwall for purchase-level rewards.

How to Choose

  • Ads only, minimal setup: AdMob via Firebase.
  • Maximum mediation yield: AppLovin MAX.
  • Deep-reward layer on top: add the Perkox Flutter SDK to whichever ad stack you run.

The revenue difference between an ads-only Flutter app and one that also runs an offerwall is typically visible within the first week of launch — the offerwall monetizes intent that ads simply cannot reach.
