What is a non-paying user?

A non-paying user is anyone who installs your app but never completes an in-app purchase. In most mobile games this is 95% or more of the audience. They still generate value through attention, so the question is how to monetize that attention without degrading the experience.

Does an offerwall cannibalize IAP revenue?

Done right, no. Offerwall rewards optional engagement — installing a sponsor app, completing a trial, answering a survey — and leaves the purchase funnel untouched. Games that gate offers behind purchase levels or keep premium items purchasable rarely see meaningful cannibalization.

What is the safest way to start monetizing non-payers?

Start with a small, low-friction placement: a single tab or a discreet entry point, a modest reward, and a daily cap. Watch ARPDAU and retention together over two weeks; if ARPDAU rises and retention holds, scale the placement and reward gradually.
